Refund Policy

1. Overview

At KABSYS Games & Hobbies, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains your rights regarding returns, refunds, exchanges, and order cancellations.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

2. Change of Mind Returns

If you purchase products online, by telephone, or through another distance-selling method, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

To exercise this right, you must notify us by email at contact@kabsys.co.uk within the 14-day cancellation period.

After notifying us, you must return the goods within 14 days.

To qualify for a change-of-mind return:

  • Items must be unused and in their original condition.

  • Items must be returned with all original packaging where possible.

  • You are responsible for return postage costs unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return.

3. Excluded Products

For hygiene, collectability, and market-value reasons, the following items cannot normally be returned for a change-of-mind refund once opened or unsealed:

  • Trading card booster packs

  • Trading card booster boxes

  • Trading card tins

  • Trading card collections and bundles

  • Sealed collectible products that have been opened

  • Digital products or codes that have been redeemed

  • Custom or personalised products

Opened and Unsealed Trading Card Products

To protect the integrity of collectible products and prevent tampering, card searching, resealing, or other forms of product manipulation, KABSYS Games & Hobbies does not accept returns, exchanges, or change-of-mind cancellations for any trading card product that has been opened, unsealed, or has had its original shrink wrap, seals, packaging, or contents altered.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Booster packs

  • Booster boxes

  • Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs)

  • Collection boxes

  • Tins

  • Starter decks

  • Pre-constructed decks

  • Sleeved boosters

  • Blister packs

  • Promotional boxed products

  • Trading card accessories bundled with sealed products

Products returned with broken seals, removed shrink wrap, opened packaging, missing contents, or evidence of tampering will not be eligible for a refund or exchange unless the product is faulty, damaged, or not as described.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection laws in relation to faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods.

4. Singles Cards

Due to the unique nature of trading card singles:

  • Customers should review card descriptions and images carefully before purchase.

  • Variations in centring, print quality, grading expectations, and manufacturer defects do not automatically qualify as faults.

  • We will not accept returns solely because a card does not receive an expected grading outcome.

However, if a card arrives significantly different from its advertised condition or description, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

5. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you receive:

  • A faulty item

  • A damaged item

  • An incorrect item

  • An item not as described

Please contact us at contact@kabsys.co.uk as soon as possible and preferably within 30 days of delivery.

 

We may request:

  • Photographs of the issue

  • Order details

  • Additional information to investigate the problem

Where appropriate, we will offer:

  • A replacement

  • A repair

  • A refund

  • Store credit

 

This will be determined in accordance with your rights under UK consumer law.

 

6. Trading Card Condition Policy

 

Many trading cards are manufactured with minor imperfections that are considered normal within the hobby.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, cards may contain:

  • Minor print lines

  • Minor edge wear from manufacture

  • Slight centring variations

  • Minor surface imperfections

These characteristics do not necessarily make a card faulty.

 

7. Event Tickets and Tournament Entry Fees

Tournament entries, event tickets, and booking fees are generally non-refundable unless:

  • The event is cancelled by KABSYS Games & Hobbies

  • A refund is required by law

  • Exceptional circumstances are approved at our discretion

Where an event is cancelled by us, customers will be offered either:

  • A full refund, or

  • Transfer of entry to a future event

 

8. Pre-Orders

Pre-order cancellations may be accepted before stock has been allocated for dispatch.

Once stock has been allocated, packed, or dispatched, standard cancellation and return rights will apply.

Where suppliers reduce allocations or cancel products, KABSYS Games & Hobbies reserves the right to cancel affected pre-orders and issue a full refund.

 

9. Refund Method

Approved refunds will normally be issued using the original payment method used for the purchase.

We reserve the right to verify the original purchaser before issuing refunds.

 

10. Return Shipping

For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, KABSYS Games & Hobbies will reimburse reasonable return postage costs where appropriate.

12. Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not affect your legal rights under:

  • The Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

  • Any other applicable UK consumer protection laws
